I was at work tonight and didn’t see it, but apparently Michael Johns got booted finally and thankfully. I seriously don’t get what anybody saw in him to begin with. At least Kristy Lee is singing her niche music…country. Michael kept trying to out-Queen Queen. It was time that he went.
Seeing as how my original [...]

American Idol Gives Back…to Miley Cyrus
Posted in American Idol, tagged American Idol Gives Back on April 10, 2008 | 2 Comments »
Quick summary…Miley Cyrus jaws with Billy Crystal and then performs. Then Fergie sings some sappy pop song, introduces the Wilson sisters (also known as Heart) and then joins them on “Barricuda”. It actually rocks!
I changed the channel…made a few phone calls. When I return…Miley Cyrus performs…again?

Oooh yeah. Missed the Idol last week. Unfortunately, I missed Dolly Parton week and seeing Ramielle getting the boot. So let’s see what I have in store for me tonight!
Inspirational Songs? Ugh…I can only imagine what Kristy Lee is gonna sing…
Michael Johns up first. He sings “Dream On” while wearing a scarf or something. I’m [...]
American Idol…And Then There Were 9

I’ve made a conscience decision to make this a quick blog because last week I basically typed whatever popped into my head and it was so freaking long even I wouldn’t have read it…and I wrote it!
So let’s go shorter and realize that this is an hour long show. They’re gonna do the cheesy song, they’re [...]

First up was Ramiele…and she stunk up the joint. “Alone” was just too big for her and hopefully it will get her the boot…finally.
Jason Castro played it safe with “Fragile” by Sting. I liked it. The judges didn’t. But I really think that he is kind of a “one trick pony” and he knows it. [...]
What Is Up With Idol…Part II

Train of thoughts while I watch and type…
Am I the only person who really hates the sing-along, dance number on the Day After show? It’s like going to Disneyland and sitting in one of those auditoriums with a couple hundred people while 25 people who want to be performers sing and dance around. It’s not [...]
What Is Up With Idol?

Far for me to get down on this season’s contestants, but when Chikezy is the best thing running, something is wrong. For starters, 2 weeks of Beatles songs is obviously too much for these guys to handle. You don’t realize how complex these songs are until you see amateurs try and tackle them. Week 1 [...]
David Hernandez Does Not Suck

For the record (Mandy & Chuck), YES I did pick David Hernandez to win and I really believe he got the shaft (so to speak). If it weren’t for his day job, I think he would have gone farther. Goes to show what can happen if you are a male stripper at a male strip [...]

Earlier this month I blogged who my picks for the Final AI Four would be, and tonight the first of those 4 was voted off. I really haven’t seen many of the women performances (except in those flashback clips), but given her performance after she was booted, I still think Asiah Apperson is a really [...]

Now you KNOW I couldn’t go without some comments on tonight’s men doing songs from the 80’s!!! Overall, pretty good show. Since we’re down to 8, I figured I would comment on each and see what I get right…
Act 1 - Luke Menard: Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (Wham)
For the record, I don’t mind [...]
