Extra! Extra! Guy Butchers Peter Cetera! Whole World Hears About It!

To the guy who had “Look Away” by Chicago cranked on his car stereo and was singing at the top of his lungs on Wednesday morning here in NY City…all I can say is…

Whatever you do…do NOT go to the next American Idol tryouts. And if you do…do NOT try singing like Peter Cetera!

“Look Away” refrain lyrics…

But if you see me walking by,
And the tears are in my eyes,
Look away, baby, look away.
If we meet on the streets someday,
And I don’t know what to say,
Look away, baby, look away.
Dont look at me;
I dont want you to see me this way.

Too bad I couldn’t TURN IT OFF! Looking away was the easy part…

Just had to get it off my chest folks.

    ack-chewally… isn’t it bill champlin who sings that one? i think pc had left chicago by that point.

    sorry… don’t mean to be a purist. and i concur, “making a joyful noise” is to be encouraged, but it is a little rough on passers-by sometimes, isn’t it? 😉

    CRAP! You are RIGHT! It wasn’t Peter Cetera!!! Dammit…now THAT changes everything! LOL

    Thats ok, It got me to this website, but yes, it was BC wrote the song, and probably sang it. It is also on Bills Solo album (or CD these kids are calling them these days… lol)

    So, anyone know what PC is doing these days? I know he and the group are not likely to be getting back together anytime soon… 😦 Oh well.
