“Rooney…you are an IDIOT!”

Okay…I’m not exactly sure if that is the exact quote from 80’s flick “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, but it’s the way I’m feeling right now. After posting my Top 10 Favorite 80’s albums last night, I got throwing around other great albums that I might have included had I done a Top 25 list or something along those lines. Say The Outfield’s “Play Deep” or The Police’s “Synchronicity”. But then my mind wandered over to rock albums. Not really a hair band guy, so all the Poison’s and Ratt’s were out…but WAIT A SECOND!!! HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN THE GREATEST ROCK ALBUM OF ALL TIME???

Are you KIDDING ME??? It was 1982. My 2nd cousin came and stayed with us for about 3 or 4 months (I think) and all he ever played was AC/DC. And I was hooked. The album actually came out in 1980, but it took cousin Tommy to get it into my head 2 years later and I have never ever turned it off if it’s on. So I guess I am making an addition to my list here because it was totally stupid on my part (and it was 2am).

AC/DC’s “Back In Black” is, hands down, my all-time favorite ROCK album (I consider U2 to be Alternative). Every song is filled with Angus’ driving guitar and the sexed-up innuendo of the lyrics are what Rock N Roll is all about folks.

So that would be my Top 11 80’s Albums of all-time. Next time, I write this stuff down…

    Blah. 🙂

I’m going on the assumption that Danielle doesn’t like AC/DC. Fair enough…LOL

Wow. Butterfly effect in action! So you’re saying that had we not run into Tommy down at Blue Rock, and had dad not invited him to stay with us for a few months, and had Tommy not been into AC/DC, and had you not gotten hooked on it and listened to it for years after that, and had I not remembered the words to “shook me all night long” even though I mostly just listened to mom’s 50s music back then, and had I not sung along to that song while waiting in line for a carnival ride thereby catching the attention of the long haired, ripped jeans, heavy metal looking dude that I would someday marry ….well then Kasey wouldn’t be here today playing “back in black” on her electric guitar. Wow.

    That’s EXACTLY what I’m sayin’…
