1 Year Down

1st Grade 1st Day (15)
Remember Day 1?

Today is Christopher’s last day of 1st grade. Hard to believe it was only yesterday when he was taking his first steps, let alone finishing up his first year foray into the world of education. But here we are, and I’m thinking this has been a good year for him. He’s accomplished a lot (voted “Teacher’s Pet” this year! Definitely MY son…) and has done very well for himself. Of course this all leads to next year when we start this whole thing over again except with a new teacher and, I imagine, more homework for us to get him through. Who knew grade school would be so exhausting! Anyway, Christopher’s class went on a field trip to a local park yesterday and I was there with my trusty camera. As a celebration of his accomplishments, I imagine I’ll be carting him around to playdates, taking him to the pool and buying him Pokemon cards all summer long. Oh well…he deserves it!

Swinging is best done with buddies.
