Top 50 Songs of 2009: The Bottom 25

You think Lady Gaga is quirky…?

Oh…where to begin? 2009 was the year of Lady Gaga. Everywhere you look she was on television, on MTV, appearing at fashion shows, on Barbara Walters’ specials, in the tabloids. Everywhere you listened she was saying pithy things and making fantastically awful pop/dance/electronica crap that was being played every 5 minutes on your favorite pop radio station. And because of her…I had a lot of pissed off fans visit my site. So for that I am thankful. But you know what else I’m thankful for? Great music. And this year there was plenty of it. So where to begin? Gotta start somewhere, right? So why not start at the bottom? And this year…the bottom ain’t such a bad place to be. Because this year was chock full of excellent music! I originally was only gonna do 25…then I thought, “Why not 40?” But then I couldn’t discard a few songs so then I figured to hell with it. Just a reminder…I tend to skew more to alternative music, but there seems top be quite a bit of pop mixed in here as well, disproving the theory that I HATE pop music. I DO like pop music…especially when it’s catchy. So here you go…MY personal picks for the Top 50-26 Songs of this 2009…
