Our little graduate!
For the last 5 years or so, both of my children have been going to a local Montessori here in the northern Kentucky area. Although I can’t say that I’m the most knowledgeable on the differences between Montessori schooling and regular preschool schooling, I can say this…
Because of these women and men who have worked with my kids since day 1, both of them are excellent readers, have knowledge on a wide variety of topics including science, foreign languages, foreign culture, topography, other planets, math, and a few hundred other things that make them almost as smart as I am. I was not a proponent of montessori schooling at first. My wife talked me into it and I can honestly say it was one of the best things we have ever done for our children. Montessori schooling has not only taught our kids the fundamentals of so many different things, it has also helped them with their hand-eye coordination, how to interact among others and how to take care of one’s personal space. I’m sure there are a thousand other things that they have taught my kids and I’m sure some day I’ll be staring at a bug on our back porch and my daughter will tell me that it’s a rare Leptothorax minutissimus. I won’t know what that means but I’ll be damn impressed that she knows it.
So to the many teachers that have been a part of my children’s daily lives for so long, it is a sad time now that it is coming to an end. Next year Ava starts 1st grade and our montessori experience will be over. You have been amazing in the way you have taught our 2 kids and there isn’t a price that can be paid that would do you justice. Your remarkable abilities and your patience has show my children how to be better people as well as better students and there is nothing that I could have wished for more out of your program. So to Julia, Greta, Valerie, Lisa, Heather and the handful of other teachers who have aided them in their daily studies…from my wife and I…
THANK YOU! From the bottom of our hearts! You guys are the greatest!!!
